💼 Project management · A common tool, any role

A plan made for what you are changing, not a blank template

Pick a process, a customer journey, a strategy play, a risk, a regulation, a KPI or an excellence award from the MTWAFIQ library, or several of them, and get the plan to execute it: every task with an owner and dates, stage gates, RACI, RAID, measures with their baseline and target, and benefits. Quick (results in weeks) or full (by the book). Download it for Excel or Microsoft Project, or run it in your workspace.

Plan it

From the reference library to a plan you can run

The plan is built from the item itself: the steps, the bottleneck, the risks and controls, the regulations, the customer pain points, the APIs and the KPIs. Several items become one programme, in the right order: the back office is reengineered before the journey is built.

  • 1,940items you can plan
  • 8kinds: processes, journeys, plays, risks, regulations, KPIs, awards
  • ⚡ / 📘quick (weeks, no IT) or full (by the book)
  • ⬇Excel, Microsoft Project, a one-page PDF, your workspace
Quick start

One page and one sheet, in under an hour

Enough for most projects inside a department. Pick the way that fits the work.

Plan, then deliver

The result is clear and the steps are known: a policy change, a system upgrade, a branch move.

Build in short cycles (Agile)

You will learn as you go: a new digital journey, a product, a service redesign.

Problem to outcome

You start from a problem, not a solution: delays, errors, complaints, cost.

Not sure? If the result is clear and changes are costly, plan first. If users will shape it as you go, build in short cycles. Most bank projects mix both.

Full method

By the book, when the project needs it

For large, cross-department or regulated projects, where the sponsor, audit or the PMO expect the complete method.

PMI: plan, then deliver

Seven Word templates and fifteen registers in one workbook, by the five PMI process groups: risk scores, the RACI check, the budget with contingency, earned value and a weekly Gantt calculate by themselves.

Agile: build in short cycles

Four Word templates and nine sheets, from the vision to the retrospective: backlog, team capacity, sprint board, burndown, velocity and the release forecast. Not sure it should be agile? The Approach fit sheet tells you in two minutes.

Problem to outcome

From a problem to a measured result

Process reengineering and project delivery in one chain. The same IDs travel from the problem to the backlog to the number on the dashboard, so every output serves an outcome.

  1. 1Define the problem

Put a number on what is wrong, and a target.

Gate: The process owner agrees the problem and the number.

  2. 2Find the root cause

Ask why until you reach something you can fix.

Gate: Each root cause is checked with data, not opinion.

  3. 3Choose the solution

Pick what removes the cause, and design the To-Be steps.

Gate: The sponsor approves the solutions and the outcome targets.

  4. 4Deliver it as a project

Turn each solution into epics or work packages, then deliver in sprints or by plan.

Gate: Every epic or work package names the solution and the outcome it serves.

  5. 5Measure the outcome

Outputs are handed over; check that the number moved.

Gate: The measure reached the target, or the gap has an action.

  6. 6Keep the gain

The process owner checks the new way of working so it does not slip back.

Gate: The process owner runs the control plan, and the project closes.
